Australia Thailand FTA a Positive for Edwards Dunlop Paper
On January 1 the free trade agreement between Australia and Thailand came into effect. As a result of this agreement each country will accord national treatment to each others goods.
This is a big positive for Edwards Dunlop’s key Victory Copy and Double A brands as it means government departments will accord the same treatment to Victory Copy and Double A as they do Australian made brands. Edwards Dunlop is the major importer of paper from Thailand and this agreement should result in its brands obtaining a bigger share of the huge government market.
